Summary:

his book is a collection of transformational approaches for a future yet-to-come. Our focus is set on advanced, interdisciplinary tools which enable a platform of change in the context of the world at large. We understand that more and more, humanity needs to cope with a great variety of global challenges, for which reason we provide a platform for the discourse of active change in an interdisciplinary manner. We target bottom-up and top-down mechanisms, meaning that transformation processes can only be effectively enhanced through interaction dynamics between micro- and macrostructures. We target people, communities, scholars, governments and states as transformers, understanding the relevance of global effective actions for a planetary change. Our scientific reflections are based within the framework of sustainable development which provide analytical approaches towards these (unsolved) global challenges in the midst of a pandemic crisis – COVID-19.P.C. Seixas starts proposing the Transformational Wave as a Feedforwarding Century. In Part I (Environmental Transformation), J. Roborg-Söndergaard writes on Transformational Earth; M.M. Nascimento on Transformational Humanity and F. Gonçalves on Transformational Life. In Part II (Governmental Transformation), N. Lobner writes on Transformational Leadership; D. Crowley on Transformational Politics and R.C. Dias & M. Gomes on Transformational Government. In Part III (Societal Transformation) C. Pimentão & C. Fonte write on Transformational Self; C.V. Pires, H. Valente & M.C. Carvalho on Transformation and Experimental Social Context and D. Seabra on Transformational Football. In Part IV (Economic Transformation), C. Alves & M.
