National Roadmap For Adaptation 2100: Portuguese Territorial Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment For XXI Century (RNA 2100)

  • National Research Project
  • 2020 to 2023

The main purpose of this project is to:
Support the activities of ENAAC 2020, implementation and monitoring of P-3AC, as well as other strategic and planning tools for adaptation to CAs.
Contribute to the implementation of the PNPOT, identifying and mapping the territories vulnerable to extreme events, at national and regional scale, to assure the socio-ecological resilience of the territories, at different levels of planning and management.
Create tools to identify climate vulnerabilities, based on the best available knowledge, to support decision making at the various territorial levels.
Constitute a reference for communication and awareness actions in this area. Support the progressive integration of adaptation to CA in the design of direct and indirect intervention projects in the territory.
Identify needs for implementing adaptation measures at all sectoral and territorial levels, including an intersectoral approach according to territorial specificities.
Characterize the socio-economic impacts oat different territorial scales and assess financial needs. Know and publicize how adaptation is being integrated into the various territorial and sectoral planning instruments, as well as the actors involved.
