Main Research Interests
I am graduated in Biology and MSc in Plant Taxonomy. I have worked on flower development of Montiaceae and Portulacaceae (Caryophyllales), with special focus on the evolution of petals and stamens. I also worked on the natural regeneration of Eucalyptus globulus in Portugal and the effects of fire on capsule dehiscence and seed germination.
My background is on plant taxonomy and I am interested in angiosperm evolution, based on flower morphology studies and pollination ecology.
2011: MSc The Biodiversity and Taxonomy of Plants (University of Edinburgh)
2010: BSc Biology – Terrestrial Environmental Biology (Faculty of Science, University of Lisbon)
