Waira S. Machida is conducting a Ph.D. in community ecology at the Ecology and Evolution programme by the Federal University of Goiás - Brazil starting in 2021 within the CoBiG2. She is conducting the project "Effects of landscape simplification and vegetation structure on pollinators and ecosystem services", under the supervision of Luísa Caravalheiro. Project aims are: Pollination ecology, community ecology, functional ecology, geometric morphometrics and remote sensing.
