MITE2: Multidisciplinary Investigation Targeting Ecology and Evolution

Sofia Costa

Grant Researcher

I finished my MSc in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon in December 2021. During my MSc thesis, I studied the impact of high temperatures on the reproduction of both male and female spider mites (Tetranychus urticae), namely on their sperm use and mating behaviour. Currently, I am working within the scope of the FCT project CLIMAX, continuing to explore the impact of climate change on spider mites’ reproduction and on spider mite-host plant interactions.
