Maria is a student of the MSc in Conservation Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Her master's dissertation is entitled "Spatial ecology of the crab-eating fox and ocelot in modified landscapes" under the supervision of Prof. Luís Miguel Rosalino (FCUL/cE3c) and Prof. Renato Hilário (Universidade Federal do Amapá, Brasil). The dissertation in being developed within the project "ForCe - Forest Certification as a tool to preserve vertebrate biodiversity in exotic forestry plantations" (Ref. 2022.03253.PTDC).
