Cicadas Phylogeny Evolution Genomics

I am a MSc student in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology at the Faculty of Science of the University of Lisbon. My thesis is being conducted in the Computation Biology and Population Genomics (CoBIG2) group of cE3c under the supervision of Prof. Paula Simões (cE3c) and Prof. Francisco Pina-Martins (cE3c). My project "Evolution and diversification of cicadas of the genus Tettigetalna in the Iberian Peninsula: a genomic approach" aims to infer the phylogeny of the cicada genus Tettigettalna and to find which loci are associated with variation of the acoustic signal between the different species of this genus.
