Inês Natal holds a BSc. in Biology by the University of Lisbon (ISA) and is presently a student of a Master Degree in Applied Microbiology by Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Currently carrying out her MSc. dissertation, under the supervision of professor Mónica V. Cunha, within the project "Genomic and phenotypic analyses of multidrug resistant enterobacteria circulating in official animal shelters". The main aim of this dissertation is to understand the epidemiological scenario of antimicrobial resistance in official animal shelters by means of a cross-sectional study focused on Enterobacteriaceae and dogs.
