Gonçalo Fernandes is conducting an MSc in Conservation Biology at the University of Lisbon starting in 2022 within the Tropical and Mediterranean Biodiversity group of cE3c. He is conducting the thesis "Conserving biodiversity and enhancing food security: the
importance of isolated trees in the bat activity over rice fields", integrated with the "EcoPestSupression" Project, under the supervision of Ana Rainho (FCUL). Gonçalo's MSc main objective is to evaluate how tree characteristics and the surrounding landscape influence bat activity around isolated trees.
