Leonor Santos is conducting a PhD in Sustainability Sciences by the University of Lisbon starting in 2020 within the Ecology of Environmental Change research group of cE3c. She is conducting the project Assessment of sustainability indicators and trade-offs in a mixed farming system throughout a gradient of specialization: Portuguese Montado, under the supervision of Ph.D Cristina Branquinho. The PhD project aims are: to organize Portuguese Montado farms in a gradient from forest to animal production and assess the trade-offs between the different sustainability indicators in this gradient; make a regional analysis of environmental and economic sustainability indicators; make a local analysis of social and economic sustainability indicators.
