PhD Student

Climate change modelling Urban ecology Spatial analysis Ecological indicators Effects of global change Least-cost corridors

Ana Beça is conducting a PhD in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies, (UL+NOVA doctoral program) by the University of Lisbon, starting in 2019, within the Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Modelling - CCIAM and the Ecology of Environmental Change (eChanges) research groups of cE3c.
Her research is focused on promoting connectivity in urban context, through ‘least-cost’ analysis, for targeted temperature sensitive species of fauna, in a Climate Change perspective.
She aims to understand how temperature changing in long-run scenarios (modelling) will affect temperature sensitive species of fauna in an urban territory, and purpose ecological corridors, based on habitat suitability and spatial distribution. Her supervisors are Professors Luís Dias and Pedro Pinho, from cE3c.
