I hold a BSc. degree in Biomedical Sciences in Histocellular Pathology and a master degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa, with a dissertation theme on mycobacterial infections in wildlife. I am now conducting a PhD in Biology, in the framework of the Doctoral Program of Applied and Environmental Microbiology (DP-AEM), under the supervision of Mónica Vieira Cunha, cE3c, within the Landscape Epidemiology and Wildlife Diseases Subgroup.
My PhD theme focuses on comparative co-evolutionary analyses of animal-adapted members of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex in Mediterranean mammals.
