Albano Soares is a naturalist working with Tagis – Butterfly Conservation Center in the fields of entomology, conservation biology and environmental education since 2010. Beginning as an expert in Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies), in the last few years he turned his attention to wild bees. Author and co-author of several publications and field guides concerning Odonata and insects in general, and an assiduous presence, as a speaker, in webinars and lectures about wetlands and pollinators. Albano participated on the assessment of the conservation status of Odonata, butterflies (Lepidoptera – Rhopalocera) and bees (Hymenoptera - Apoidea) for the Red List of Terrestrial and Freshwater Invertebrates of Portugal.
