Carolina Parelho holds a PhD in Biology. She is currently a Post-Doc Research Scientist in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Risk Assessment at the Ce3C - Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (Azorean Biodiversity Group, Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the University of the Azores, Portugal). Her current research is focused on the assessment of the effects of different agricultural management practices in soil organism (earthworms) and the ecosystem services provided by them and, the development of a science-based integrated approach to the sustainable management of volcanic soils.
