I received a Ph.D. in Biology from Universidade de Lisboa in 2010. I'm currently an Assistant Researcher working on the effect of environmental changes on ecosystems functioning and provision of services, with a focus on changes caused by urbanization. I measure the effects on ecosystems considering multiple approaches: vegetation functional groups, earth observation and ecological indicators. In general, I’m interested in considering the spatial characteristics of ecological data to study the relation of biological and environmental variables.
