Patrícia Chaves is conducting a Ph.D. in Biology and Ecology of Global Change by the University of Lisbon (Faculty of Sciences) starting in 2020 within the TMB of cE3c. She is conducting the project on Seed Dispersal Networks in the Cantanhez National Park (Guinea Bissau), under the supervision of Ana Rainho (CE3c-TMB). The Ph.D. project aims are: 1) understand how plant phenology influences seed dispersal networks, 2) how they change in a disturbance gradient, 3) how species functional and morphological characteristics determine their network role and finally 4) how the human poppulation living within protected areas, perceive seed dispersal and forest regeneration.
