Leonardo Ferreira is conducting a Ph.D. in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies by the University of Lisbon, starting in 2021 within the Ecology of Environmental Change - eChanges of cE3c. He is conducting the project “Building a global framework for evaluating the socio-ecological resilience of the agroforestry sector under increasing climatic risk”, under the supervision of Cristina Branquinho and Tiago Capela.
He graduated in Agronomy, by the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil, MSc in Crop Production, by the University of Santa Cruz - Brazil,
The main objectives of the Ph.D. project are to (i) elucidate the main flows and trade-offs of climate-related risks on ecosystem services, (ii) assess impacts on the agricultural and forestry sector in a time-scale perspective, and (iii) build a framework to support decision making regarding land-use changes in the medium and long term.
