Lena Strauß is conducting a Ph.D. in Sustainability by the University of Leeds starting in 2019 within the Sustainability Research Institute of the School of Earth and Environment, University of Leeds. She is conducting the project "Exploring the drivers and mechanisms of deforestation and forest degradation - Islands as models for integrated social-ecological systems" under the supervision of Dr Martin Dallimer (University of Leeds), Dr Timothy Baker (University of Leeds), and Dr Ricardo de Lima (University of Lisbon, cE3c).
