I am a Biologist, with a M.Sc. in Geographic Information Systems, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from the Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientals(ICTA), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). I am currently working on Green Infrastructures and Urban Biodiversity for Sustainable Urban Development in the Ecology of Environmental Changes and Conservation in Socio-Ecological Ecosystems research groups of cE3c.

During the last years I have been researching on the sustainability of socio-ecological systems, especially on the use and management of natural resources by indigenous societies and rural populations in tropical countries. I am also interested in the mapping of the use of natural resources and ecosystem services, as well as the mapping of local perceptions and local knowledge regarding ecosystems.
