Conservation science Global change Spatial planning Biogeography Ecology

André is mainly interested in using multi-disciplinary data to suggest potential solutions for sustainable development. His background has a special emphasis on the spatial ecology, conservation genetics, macroecology, mechanistic modelling of mammals from Europe, Africa and Asia. His doctoral project, at Uppsala University, Sweden, focused on spatial strategies for conservation of mammals in Southern Asia under global environmental change. He is currently working at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences on wolf spatial ecology and developing interdisciplinary projects on modelling land-use-biodiversity dynamics. André collaborates with the group of Evolutionary Genetics (EG) and Conservation in Socio-Ecological Systems (CSES) at CE3C.
