Matilde, E. & de Lima, R.F. (2016) Photographic evidence for the occurrence of frigatebirds Fregata sp. in the Gulf of Guinea. Bulletin of the African Bird Club, 23(1), 86-88.

Summary:

On 1 August 2015, we photographed an immature frigatebird near the Mosteiros islet, Príncipe Island (São Tomé and Príncipe). The white head, and the shape and extension of white on the underparts suggest it was a magnificent frigatebird Fregata magnificens. This is the first photographic evidence of the presence of frigatebirds in the Golf de Guinea.
