cE3c, based at FCUL - Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, is organizing the international training school NecoSchool: Global and long-term effects of nitrogen on atmospheric nitrogen in ecosystem. This two-week training school wil discuss the multiple effects of atmospheric nitrogen in ecosystems, and will take pace between the 15th and 26th May, 2017, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Portugal).
The school will provide training in a holistic approach of key aspects related to N issues under the WAGES concept (nitrogen threats to Water, Air, Greenhouse gases balance, Ecosystems and Soils), with a long-term perspective. This edition will focus on Air quality, Ecosystems and Biodiversity.
The school is supported by NitroPortugal (a H2020-TWINN-2015 Coordination & support action) and by its partners ISA (Portugal), FCUL (Portugal), CEH (United Kingdom) and Aarhus University (Dennmark). It's further supported by iLTER, JaLTER, LTERmontado and INMS.
The deadline for applications is March 31st.
