I recently completed my PhD in Ecology by the University of Lisbon within the ESFE (Environmental Stress & Functional Ecology) research group of cE3c. In my thesis I studied the spatial and successional dynamics of stabilized dune xerophytic shrubs in SW Portugal.
Presently, I am a post-doctoral grant holder within the project “Estudos de fragmentação territorial e impactes sobre a biodiversidade e desenvolvimento de medidas de promoção de continuidades ecológicas”, under the supervision of Otília Correia.
My current research interests focuses on the role of biotic interactions, mainly facilitation, as drivers of community assembly.
