Isadora Moniz

External Collaborator

I hold a BSc degree in Biology - Marine Biology branch, from the University of the Azores, and continued my academic training by enrolling on an Erasmus Mundus Master Course (2014-2016), for which I won a scholarship. I now hold an MSc degree in Marine Environment and Resources (the University of Southampton, the University of Bordeaux, the University of Liège and the University of the Basque Country, with the collaboration by the Founding Research Associates, AZTI-Tecnalia and the Oceanographic Foundation of Gipuzkoa constitute the MER Consortium).

My research interests are broad, ranging from the importance of biodiversity for ecosystem processes to resources management.

Adding to my academic background, I also worked in the scientific research sector for some years in different research teams, and I currently collaborate with several groups principally working on topics ranging from paleoclimatology in remote islands to the effect of present climate change in coral reef fish, and on marine ecology and conservation topics.
