I am interested in mechanisms underlying the ecology and evolution of plant-feeding arthropods. Especially, I aim to understand the interaction between herbivores and their host plants, the mechanisms of host specialization, speciation, dispersal, and the evolution of herbivore life-history traits. Currently, I am working in the ecently-established Population Ecology Lab in Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. In our group, we conduct evolutionary experiments testing hypotheses about the evolutionary interplay between host specialization and dispersal, using eriophyoid mite species as a study system. We are focusing on invasive mites that are associated with cereals, which are staple crops around the globe.
