I received a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Sussex (UK) in 2018 and I am currently working in the Island Biodiversity, Biogeography and Conservation research group (IBBC) and Tropical and Mediterranean Biodiversity group (TMB) of cE3c.

My research focuses on the study of the impacts of climate and land-use changes (e.g. land abandonment) on bees and other insect pollinators.

Since 2011, I have been conducting several works related to the ecology and conservation of insect pollinators in the UK and Portugal. Furthermore, I have been also active in science communication.

Currently, I am working as a research technician focusing on plant-pollinator interactions endemic to a biodiversity hotspot (Madeira Island - Portugal).
